ANR DYNBIOREACT

Since january 2015 ANR is funding a four years project on Chemical Dynamics for Reactivity of Biological Molecules. This is part of the international program with National Science Fundation (USA). The NSF partner is the group of W.L.Hase at Texas Tech University, Lubbock. The aim of the project is to understand the dynamics of unimolecular and bimolecular reactivity in the gas phase for the fragmentation and synthesis of organic and biological molecules.
Two aspects are at our interest:
1) Reactivity produced in mass spectrometry: in particular of model peptides, carbohydrates and steroides;
2) Gas phase synthesis of molecules observed in the interstellar medium.

ANR Participants:
- Riccardo Spezia (PI), CNRS researcher;
- Yannick Jeanvoine, Maître de Conférences UEVE;
- Ana Martin-Somer, post-doct (2015-2017);
- Veronica Macaluso, PhD student (2015-...).
Also other members of the UMR participate to the project: Estefania Rossich-Molina (PhD student), Jean-Yves Salpin (DR CNRS), Florence Gonnet (Pr UEVE) and Regis Daniel (DR CNRS).

TTU Participants:
- William L. Hase (PI), professor;
- Zahra Homayoon, post-doc (2015-2017);
- Subha Pratihar, post-doc (2015-...).

External Collaborations:
- Edward Dratz and Ross Snider, Montana State University (USA);
- Kihyung Song, Korea National University of Education (Korea);
- Antonio Largo, Universidad de Valladolid (Spain);
- Jos Oomens, Radbout University (Netherlands).
