Inorganic Chemistry

More recently, we have open a new axis of research which aims at understanding the very first steps of reduction and formation of nuclei within the framework of synthesis of metallic nanoparticles. This was the core of the PhD research of Maya Guillaumont, which focused on Cu and Co nanoparticles.

We have also long been interested in the description and understanding of the physico-chemical properties of main group heavy metals complexes, in order to assist and predict the experimental characterizations, which are poorly documented. A special attention has been taken in understanding the mechanisms associated to the toxicity in biological systems.
